"Baroque dance" (Concerto Grosso Op 6, No 4)

Period

Baroque

Instruments

Strings/Keyboard

The fourth "Concerto Grosso Op 6" is probably one of the most joyfully charged baroque music pieces. Together with the other 11 concerti of the "Concerto Grosso Op 6", it was immensely popular during Corelli's time while it maintains its appeal even today. The opening sets a festive tone and as the melody unfolds the spirit of dance prevails. A fine example of the grandeur of baroque music.  A title to consider for this piece: "Baroque dance".
