Classical music has been employed to a great extent in the film industry, altering or magnifying the perception of the film that we are viewing. Whether it is Scorcese using Mascagni's "Cavaleria Rusticana" in his "Raging Bull" or Coen Brothers using Beethoven's "Pathetique" in his film "The Man Who Wasn't There", classical music adds another dimension to the movie, making the movie much more powerful and meaningful to the viewer. In this section we have curated videos where classical music meets the movies. We have also created an entertaining video of some of the most popular movie scenes enriched with classical music.

"What makes a man Mr. Lebowski?" is the question addressed to the "dude" of the movie by the old and rich man Mr. Lebowski, with  "Lacrimosa" (the most famous and iconic part of Mozart's "Requiem") playing in the background to set the mood for a "serious" conversation.

Beethoven's "Pathetique" in the movie "The Man Who Wasn't There"

Beethoven's great masterpiece is played throughout this film by Coen Brothers, which takes place in the 50s in America and is about a barber who lives his life in a completely indifferent and distant way, until he meets Birdy,  beautiful girl who is playing this sonata. The emotional character of the music contrasts with the quiet and indifferent life of the protagonist.
